About TriMerge

TriMerge is a number-merging puzzle that looks simple at first but quickly turns into a real test of planning and patience. The game opens on a small 4x4 grid. Nothing moves until you swipe, and then the first tiles appear: 1s and 2s.

Building Numbers

Every move adds a new tile, and every swipe pushes everything toward the wall. The first challenge is to join a 1 with a 2, which creates a 3. That’s the spark that starts the chain. From there, the rules tighten:

Only a 1 and 2 combine.

Every number higher than 3 only merges with its twin.

So it’s 3 + 3 = 6, 6 + 6 = 12, 12 + 12 = 24, and on it goes.

Once you’ve reached 12, the game shows you what’s coming next - either a 1 or a 2 - so you can think a little further ahead.

When the Grid Fills

The game ends when no moves are left. That moment usually sneaks up on you, as one wrong swipe can block a whole section of the grid. The challenge is to balance growth with space management: Do you go for the quick merge, or do you hold back and keep your board open?

Why It Hooks You

TriMerge doesn’t flood you with power-ups, animations, or gimmicks. The tension comes from the numbers themselves. Each move feels small, but they stack into big decisions.

If you’re into puzzles that reward patience and strategy, TriMerge is the kind of game that will sit on your phone for a long time.
