Nine Words, Four Connections
4x3 looks simple when the puzzle first appears: nine words are sitting on the screen, and your job is to sort them into four groups. The catch is that the groups overlap. Each category has three words, but one special word—the Hub—belongs in every category.
That changes the way you read the board. A word that seems to fit one group perfectly might actually be the key to several others. You have to look for meanings, phrases, synonyms, and bits of general knowledge that could connect words in unexpected ways.
Find the Hub
For each guess, you select three words, and the Hub must be one of them. Get the connection right and the category is locked away while the Hub remains available for the next group. A wrong guess costs points, so clicking random combinations can quickly ruin an otherwise good score.
Chase a Better Score
Every puzzle starts at 100 points, giving careful players plenty to protect. Mistakes reduce that total, with bigger penalties near the end. There are also bonuses for choosing the Hub first or second consistently, finishing within 90 seconds, and solving the puzzle with the minimum number of clicks.
The order you solve categories can matter too, with extra points available for tougher sequences.
4x3 is the kind of puzzle where one word can completely change your view of the board. Once you spot what the Hub is doing, the remaining connections can suddenly fall into place.
