Most hide-and-seek games ask you to disguise yourself as an object. Meccha Chameleon takes a completely different route. Instead of transforming into furniture or props, you stay in your normal shape and paint your own body to disappear into the environment. Every match becomes a contest of creativity, patience, and sharp eyesight.
Players are divided into Hiders and Seekers. Hiders begin as bright white characters, giving them a short moment to find the perfect hiding place. Using the eyedropper tool, they can copy colors directly from nearby surfaces and apply them to different parts of their bodies. A clever player might match a brick wall with their upper body while blending their legs into a dark floor.
Painting is only half the challenge. Once you're satisfied, you must freeze completely. Even the smallest movement can ruin the illusion and attract unwanted attention.
Seekers arrive once the hiding period ends. Their job isn't about spraying bullets everywhere. Success comes from noticing tiny details that don't quite fit. A strange shadow, an awkward pose, or colors that don't line up with the background can reveal a hidden opponent.
Some matches also include whistles that give away the general location of surviving Hiders, keeping the search moving until the final seconds.
Several game modes keep every round fresh. Basic mode offers the classic team battle, Infection turns defeated Hiders into additional hunters, and Double mode starts with two Seekers to create immediate pressure. With support for up to 14 players, smaller groups of two to ten often provide the smoothest and most competitive experience.
Every round feels different because the best hiding place isn't always the same. The winning strategy depends on your imagination, careful painting, and your ability to stay perfectly still while everyone walks right past you.
